The Barre Heritage Festival & Homecoming Days is right around the corner! Mark your calendars: July 29-30, 2016!

This event is a celebration of Barre! Over five days, we welcome over 15,000 community members and visitors from around the region to join us in celebrating our community, culture, history and the arts!

Our 2016 Festival will feature:

  • La Soirée Sucrée - Sweet Evening:  (Thursday) In honor of the late Chet Briggs. Featuring a French Dessert competition and French fiddling and dancing. To benefit the Barre Heritage Festival & Homecoming Days and the Old Labor Hall
  • Barre Ethnic Heritage Food Tent: (Friday) - Celebrate Barre’s unique ethnic heritage with a smorgasbord of cultural cuisine
  • Free Live Music & Performances: (Friday & Saturday) - featuring local and regional performers from a variety of genres.
  • Heritage Stage, in honor of Chet Briggs: (Saturday) Leaders of cultural institutions in Barre- Sue Higby of Studio Place Arts, Mark Hudson of Vermont Historical Society, and Karen Lane of Aldrich Public Library - are donating their time and expertise to develop the Heritage Stage. Free live music and performances will include Italian, Celtic, Folk, Scottish and more.
  • Heritage Parade: (Saturday, 2pm) - Featuring bands from around the state, Shriners, local groups, and more. Presented by Granite Industries of Vermont.
  • Close-proximity Fireworks: (Saturday) - A community favorite, come downtown to enjoy a phenomenal fireworks display with your family and friends.

The 2016 Barre Heritage Festival will also host nearly 100 events, performances, sales, tours, and exhibits throughout the city, including annual favorites such as the Barre Paletteers Art Show, the Barre Lions Downtown Tow-Down and the Rotary Club’s Heritage Breakfast.

This year marks a long list of many incredible years of this community event with the Barre Partnership. I hope you will join me in supporting Barre’s signature event. Donations of any amount are appreciated! In appreciation for your sponsorship, you will receive:

BRONZE SPONSOR = $250
In appreciation for your sponsorship, you will receive the friends of the festival perks plus:

SILVER SPONSOR = $500
In appreciation for your sponsorship, you will receive the bronze perks plus:

  • Business-card sized color ad in the 2016 Program Guide (Color Ad size = ~4” x 2”) ad design included
  • Silver sponsor placement on BHF website with your logo and link to your website.

THE FOLLOWING SPONSORSHIPS ARE INDUSTRY EXCLUSIVE AND INCLUDE GOLD SPONSOR PERKS, PLUS YOUR LOGO ON OUR T-SHIRTS.

PRESENTING SPONSOR: $10,000
The presenting sponsor will receive top-billing and be included  on all marketing collateral and advertisements, including radio, newspaper, TV, printed programs, vendor letters, etc. This sponsorship package will be customized to fit your individual business needs to become your ultimate marketing tool.

MAIN STAGE SPONSOR: $4,000
The Main Stage has over 11 performances scheduled over two days in City Hall Park. This our most attended venue!

The Heritage Stage in honor of Chet Briggs has eight scheduled heritage performances on Saturday July 30th in Depot Square.
In appreciation for your sponsorship, you will receive :

  • Stage presented by acknowledgement
  • Verbal mentions on radio PSAs, commercials, and interviews
  • Half page color ad in the 2016 Program Guide 
  • Frequent mentions on Facebook and Twitter

FIREWORKS SPONSOR = $3000

The fireworks show is one of the most expensive elements of the Barre Heritage Festival. Last year’s unique display was a huge crowd pleaser. Make everyone’s dream come true by being a fireworks sponsor. In appreciation for your sponsorship, you will receive:

  • Logo placement on all print collateral, posters, programs, press releases, banners and advertisements at every mention of “Fireworks”
  • Verbal mentions on radio PSAs, commercials, interviews
  • Sidebar sponsorship on www.BarreHeritageFestival.org
  • Vendor booth space for Saturday

Rowan Heritage Stage at the Opera House Rowan performs Celtic and Traditional Folk songs and tunes as well as original compositions, using Guitar, Mandolin, Bouzouki, Quatro-Octave Mandolin, Celtic Harp, Harmonica, Claw-Hammer banjo, and more. Music Check It Out

Strength Through Heritage

Barre is the fourth largest city in Vermont. While the community first developed around the milling available along the adjacent Winooski River, granite soon emerged as the key industry of Barre. In fact, granite from Barre, Vermont was used in some of the nation (and world’s) finest buildings, monuments, and memorials. Consequently, granite carvers from across the world settled in Barre making the city a rich mixture of cultures from all over the world.
