Vendor Info

CERTIFICATE OF LIABILITY INSURANCE: All vendors are required to submit a Certificate of Liability. It is very important that your certificate of liability includes the Barre Heritage Festival, PO Box 1032, Barre VT 05641 as an additional insured. Certificates can be sent via email to
FOOD VENDORS: If we do not have a certificate of liability from you, you will not be allowed to vend!

WHERE IS MY BOOTH? An email will be sent to all registered vendors with a map showing the placement of all vendor booths. If you do not receive this email, please email

TRASH REMOVAL:  There will be several trash receptacles throughout our event, however it is the responsibility of the vendor to provide a trash can for their booth space. This is especially important for food vendors. The festival does provide a big roll-off trash dumpster and we expect vendors to keep their areas tidy and to transport all trash to our trash dumpster (these are located at the Aldrich Library). It is VERY important that when you pack up your booth at the end of the festival that your space be free of trash and other debris. If you leave trash at your vendor site, you may not be allowed to return next year.

CHECK-IN: All vendors MUST check in at our information booths BEFORE setting up. You will be walked to your booth location.

FRIDAY - Friday vendors can begin setup as early 2pm. You should plan on being setup by 4pm and we encourage you to stay until at least 9pm. Our final performance on Friday ends at 11pm.

SATURDAY CITY HALL PARK AREA - For Saturday, City-hall park area vendors can begin vending as early as 7am, and we recommend being ready by 9am. We have events starting in this area at 7:30am.

SATURDAY: Saturday only vendors can begin setup as early as when Main Street is closed to through traffic. This will be approximately 7am. We recommend being setup by 9 or 10am. Our first festival activities in the Main Street zone begins at 10am. We encourage you to stay until at least 8pm. The fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15pm. If you are located on Main Street and would like to continue vending in City Hall Park for the fireworks and street dance, you must arrange for this ahead of time by emailing

We recommend you familiarize yourself with our festival schedule to help you plan your day.

SATURDAY NIGHT BREAKDOWN - You must check out at the information booth BEFORE you leave the festival for a site inspection. Please ensure all trash has been removed for your booth space.

OVERNIGHT STORAGE: The Barre Heritage Festival does not provide secure storage. In the past, vendors have left their equipment / vehicles, etc setup overnight, just locking away what they feel they needed to. While the Barre City Police to patrol the area, we do not have any special security. Our festival is outside and in public areas. You may leave your booth setup overnight at your own risk, or pack everything away and re-setup for Saturday morning.

PARKING/LOADING & UNLOADING: Loading and unloading in the earlier hours should be rather straightforward. There will be loading and unloading on the outskirts of the barricaded areas. You will have to relocate your vehicles to alternative parking areas unless it is part of your vendor booth space, such as a concession trailer. Moving vehicles will not be allowed in the barricaded festival areas between 4pm and 10pm on Friday, or 9am-10pm in the park area on Saturday, or between 9am and 9pm on Saturday in the Main Street area.  While operating a moving vehicle within the barricaded areas, drive slowly and use caution as there will still be many pedestrians in the area.

Strength Through Heritage

Barre is the fourth largest city in Vermont. While the community first developed around the milling available along the adjacent Winooski River, granite soon emerged as the key industry of Barre. In fact, granite from Barre, Vermont was used in some of the nation (and world’s) finest buildings, monuments, and memorials. Consequently, granite carvers from across the world settled in Barre making the city a rich mixture of cultures from all over the world.
